The incessant growth of online shopping has fuelled demand for home delivery services and Retail Week has just reported that retailers are having to rethink their distribution and last mile fulfilment strategies.

One answer is to opt for supplier direct fulfilment; another is to make use of a network of regional hubs, closer to the buyers, for more responsive, efficient deliveries.

Time critical same day deliveries can be expensive if you’re sending goods across the country so it makes more sense to choose a series of regional hubs to hold your goods and deliver in their area when called upon.
